For outdoor recreation in the summer, the Kingdom has no equal.  While further south the sun takes on an uncomfortable, unyielding character, in Northern Vermont the temperature is just right.  And when some healthy exercise does bring some sweat to your brow, there's a crystal clear mountain lake around every corner ready to refresh your senses.
